Stephen Eurenius, 63, died July 13, 2010 after a long illness. A resident of Mineral Springs in North Conway, NH. He also lived in Boston, MA and Los Angeles, CA. He was born Oct. 26,1946, in Portland, ME.

A graduate of Kennett High School North Conway, he also attended Bowdoin College Brunswick, ME, the U.S. Naval Academy Annapolis, MD and Dartmouth College Hanover, NH.

He was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, and did research with a team that worked to develop the artificial heart. He worked for 20-plus years as a biomedical engineer before returning to the area where he was employed at Cranmore and Wildcat Mountains.

Stephen loved his friends and family and never tired of hearing their stories. His dog Robbie, his companion and best friend, was always with him. His sister Ruth, his nephews Michael and Todd Emerson, their wives Cindy and Liz, and his great nieces and nephews will miss his determined spirit and good nature.
